Jeffrey Alan Dbury's latest CD on Rok Records is the personification of life being given to sound, creativity exploding in movement, and total gratification brought forth from a dream of such passion that it can only be called the rock n' roll piece de resistance.
Saying Dbury Vll is an remarkable rock album would be like saying sex is merely two bodies touching. Dbury Vll quantify's rock music in its full complexity, sending the listener throbbing with a sensual rock n' roll beat, then snapping into a power house hard rocker, with overtones of pure insanity, and then without warning drift softly into a dream of Gothic romance and gentle love, only to once again attack, electrifying ones mind with fantasies of psychedelic passages, moody blues whispers, a funk that creates dance and back to rock n' roll from the Woodstock generation that will make you stoned just from listening to it.
Jeffrey Alan Dbury is one of the storybook rock musicians that you some times hear about, but find the story's hard to believe. A musician who write all his own material with an originality that makes it difficult to compare with others. A song writer who has opened the doors to an exciting and magical world that only he could see, until he placed them on his new CD. An incredible musician who actually plays all the instruments on his CD, including arranging all the songs, engineering the recording sessions and producing every sound on the CD. Yes, Jeffrey Alan Dbury is a Renaissance man, but let us not sell him short; the man is a fucking genius plan and simple.
Just a food note if I may. As most of you know, I have my own radio show called Psychedelic Sunday on the world's most popular online radio station in the world, Digital Revolution Radio. Last year Jeffrey submitted two songs to me for consideration to be played on the Indie music segment of my show. I loved the songs and played them on my next show. And as they say in the radio world, the switchboard lit up with fans from around the world freaking out over these two songs. Later that year when the 12 song Dbury Vll CD was released, I world premiered it, and once again the switchboard lit up with the audience proclaiming that I had discovered the next major rock n' roll super star. And I have to agree with them. Dbury Vll is not only an exciting and totally original sounding new album, its a package built for super stardom, and Jeffrey Alan Dbury is inside that package.
